As an extension of the Parker’s proven Viking Xtreme inline valve, the new series is designed in accordance with the non plug-in ISO 15407-1 for sizes 02 and 01 and ISO 5599-1 for sizes 1, 2 and 3. It gives customers a flexible solution for applications in industrial, automotive, railway, agriculture, food, oil and gas, forestry equipment and other demanding markets.
Designed for performance and installation flexibility, the Viking Xtreme ISO valve series can be installed on a single subbase or on a stackable manifold. Stackable manifold installation supports pressure zoning in centralized applications, while internal or external pilot configurations can be set in the field to meet application requirements.
The valve platform features Parker’s over-molded spool technology, which supports high performance, long service life, reliability, and broad operating capability. The bi-directional over molded spool operates from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F), with an operating pressure range from vacuum to 10 bar (16 bar for pneumatic remote pilot variants) and flow performance ranging from 540 Nl/min (0,55 Cv) to 5900 Nl/min (6,01 Cv).
For harsh environments and mobile-related applications, the Viking Xtreme ISO valve series offers multiple solenoid voltages with either standard or mobile-rated coils, as well as remote pilot valve options. Mobile versions have passed shock and vibration testing to IEC 61373:1999, category 1, class B. Stainless steel end fasteners, internal springs, and solenoid armatures support operation in salt spray applications, with salt spray qualification of more than 1000 hours.
“Customers are looking for compact, reliable pneumatic valve solutions that help simplify machine design while performing in demanding operating conditions,” said Patrick Berdal, European Product Manager for Controls, Electric Motion & Pneumatic Division, Parker Hannifin. “The Viking Xtreme ISO valve series reflects Parker’s commitment to engineering solutions that improve productivity, uptime, and operational efficiency for customers across key industrial and mobile markets.”
The Viking Xtreme ISO valve series is designed to help customers consolidate existing ISO non-plug-in valve ranges and, depending on the application, may support a one-size reduction that can help lower cost, footprint dimension, and weight while maintaining required performance.
