The Summit began the evening before with a get-together at the historic Sophienkeller in Dresden, where participants and the VSX management team had the chance to connect in an informal setting.
A new chapter for Spaix
After opening remarks by Patrick Gräbener, Head of Sales & Marketing, Dr. Ulrich Dümichen, who became CEO of VSX in August 2026, set out his vision for Spaix: from software you install to a platform you build on. The direction includes a cloud-based, multi-tenant Spaix, intelligent selection supported by AI agents working on customers' own Spaix data, and open interfaces to PIM, ERP, CRM and web shop systems. At the same time, he stressed that VSX will remain a specialist for pump and valve selection.
"The Summit showed what Spaix is at its best: a community of users who build on it every day. Their experience shapes our roadmap, and we want to keep this dialogue going," says Dr. Ulrich Dümichen.
Use cases from the community
Three partner presentations gave practical insights into how Spaix is embedded in enterprise workflows: KSB SE & Co. KGaA presented an enhancement around the country of destination, ANDRITZ AG showed how the Spaix API makes hydraulic expertise reusable in enterprise practice, and WILO SE explained how product data is imported from a PIM system into Spaix.
Roadmap and product spotlights
In the R&D outlook, VSX presented the planned roadmap towards 2027: a web-first approach, a faster release cadence of roughly every two months, a modern architecture and additional database support with MariaDB. VSX also presented first ideas for AI at Spaix, such as batch selection from tender documents and an intelligent search for replacement pumps and invited participants to help prioritize them for the 2027 roadmap.
In three product spotlights, VSX colleagues presented the Mobile Sales Agent, browser-based valve selection with Fittings and the synchronous motors module. An open discussion round on feedback and outlook closed the day.
Positive feedback from participants
In the follow-up survey, participants rated the Summit very positively. They praised the organization and the venue, found the balance between partner use cases and product spotlights well chosen, and the vast majority said they expect to attend the next Summit.
The first Spaix User Summit was a complete success, and VSX is already looking forward to welcoming the community again. The next Summit is expected to take place in 2027.
