Pump’s Hydraulic System Unites Flood Control with Fish Protection

Despite continuing geopolitical challenges, pump and valve manufacturer KSB has reported strong performance for the second quarter of 2026. Both sales revenue and earnings before finance income / expense and income tax (EBIT) increased significantly compared with the first quarter of 2026, which included one-off income from the first-time consolidation of KSB Pumps Arabia Ltd.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Eta production facility took place on June 9 at KSB’s headquarters. In the presence of the State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Rhineland-Palatinate, Simone Schneider, the Lord Mayor of Frankenthal, Nicolas Meyer, Mayor Bernd Knöppel, and around 400 employees from the Eta production facility and the departments involved, Stephan Timmermann, CEO, opened the ceremony and welcomed the attendees.

At its Annual General Meeting for the 2025 financial year, pump and valve manufacturer KSB presented results that once again surpassed those of the previous year. In 2025, the SDAX-listed Group passed the € 3 billion mark in both order intake and, for the first time, sales revenue. The company also increased its EBIT (earnings before finance income / expense and income tax).

Electric actuators with variable motor speed offer an effective solution for the automation of large penstocks, whether in sewage treatment plants, retention basins or flood protection systems.

Pump and valve manufacturer KSB is consistently advancing its digital strategy. The company is significantly expanding its strategic partnership with ai-omatic solutions and is increasing its stake in the Hamburg-based AI start-up from previously 5 percent to now 47 percent. With this step, KSB is deepening its collaboration in the field of AI-supported service platforms.
