As the first large company in Denmark, Grundfos on October 9 received the certificate of the OHSAS 18001 standard (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). The certificate was presented by the Danish Standards Association.

1999 saw the global launch of ITT Flygt’s N-pump. 2000 sees the launch of the New Generation N-pumps. They have been specially designed for more efficient, reliable and trouble-free pumping over long duty periods, than any other wastewater-handling submersible. At the WEFTEC 2000 show, Hydromatic will introduce the new 4″ and 6″ self primer models which have been added to their existing line of self primers and the new 2 HP positive displacement grinder pump designed for high head, low flow applications without the need for a control panel.

HOUSTON–National-Oilwell, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the Wheatley Gaso and Omega pump product lines from Halliburton Company for approximately $13 million cash. In 1999, the acquired business had revenues of almost $20 million.
