KSB: New 4-inch Pump for Deep Well Applications

It is designed to control pumps in harsh or cramped conditions where level sensors are impracticable and where it is common practice to leave pumps unattended and running continuously. The new controller has the ability to calculate the optimal pumping cycle, resulting in less wear on parts and reduced power consumption; considerably extending a pump’s life expectancy.

    Better pumps for aircraft de-icing vehicles

    New Lowara pumps are hydraulically powered multiphase centrifugal units, which run at 2.900 rpm and throw 13 m3 per hour at 12 bar giving overall better performance from a more compact scale. A particular innovation for this new design of de-icer is the use of a single, relatively small and light – yet high performance – pump. The vehicles being replaced had large, heavy, cast iron gear pumps which had many problems, most of them expensive.
