Hydraulic Institute Publishes ANSI Standard for Nozzle Loads on Centrifugal and Vertical Pumps

PARSIPPANY, NJ, August 28, 2001 – The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has published a new American National Standard for “Centrifugal and Vertical Pumps for Allowable Nozzle Loads,” designated as ANSI/HI 9.6.2-2001. The Allowable Nozzle Load standard has been developed to assist pump users and systems designers in determining appropriate flange and nozzle loads. The standard will also be of particular value to anyone using pumps in chemical process applications such as those that conform to ANSI/ASME B73 standards.
