ITT Industries, Inc. announced third quarter 2005 net income of $189.3 million, up $79.5 million over the third quarter 2004, including the net benefit of special items. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the third quarter, including the net benefit of special items, were $2.00.

Pentair announced its third quarter 2005 results, highlighting a 44 percent year-over-year increase in earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations on a sales gain of 18 percent. Sales growth on a pro forma basis, assuming WICOR had been acquired at the beginning of the third quarter of 2004, and excluding favorable foreign currency exchange, was approximately seven percent.

Gardner Denver, Inc. announced continued strong growth in business levels in the third quarter of 2005. Orders, revenues, and net income in the three months ended September 30, 2005 were $411.3 million, $356.1 million and $16.7 million respectively.

ABB’s orders, revenues and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose sharply in the third quarter of 2005 compared to the same quarter in 2004 as a result of operational improvements and buoyant markets. Group EBIT rose 81 percent to $458 million and net income almost doubled to $188 million.

Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE: BHI) today announced that net income for the third quarter of 2005 was $221.9 million or $0.65 per diluted share, up 61% compared to $137.5 million or $0.41 per diluted share for the third quarter of 2004 and up 1% compared to $218.8 million or $0.64 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2005.

Sales of industrial valves will reach $50 billion per year by 2010, up from $41 billion this year predicts the McIlvaine Company in its continually updated online report, Valves: World Markets. The oil and gas and refining segments will be the largest purchasers.

IDEX Corporation announced its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2005. Orders were up 10 percent, sales increased 8 percent and net income rose 23 percent to $28.5 million. Diluted earnings per share were 54 cents versus 44 cents in the year-ago period.

Crane reports third quarter 2005 net income increased to $40.0 million, or $0.66 per share, compared with net income of $33.2 million, or $0.56 per share in the third quarter of 2004 before a net charge of $238.4 million for certain asbestos and environmental matters.

Parker Hannifin Corporation reported new first quarter records in sales, earnings and cash flow from operations. For the first quarter of fiscal-year 2006, sales were $2.11 billion, up 13 percent, as compared to sales of $1.88 billion from the same period last year.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. reported record third quarter 2005 net income of $13.2 million, an increase of 19 percent from $11.1 million for the same period a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were $0.57 compared to $0.48 for the third quarter of 2004.
