Sulzer looks to 2002 with cautious optimism

Order intake by the core divisions of the Sulzer Corporation for the first quarter 2002 totaled CHF 533 million, matching the exceptionally high level of prior year. Overall, corporate order intake totaled CHF 597 million (–1% compared with 2001, but +4% adjusted for acquisitions, divestitures and currency effects). Sulzer looks to the current year with reserved optimism and expects order intake for 2002 as a whole to exceed that of 2001.

    QUINCY, Ill., March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Gardner Denver,

    Inc. (NYSE: GDI) announced today that it has entered into a $200

    million amended and restated credit agreement with a syndicate of

    ten banks. The agreement provides for $150 million of revolving

    credit for a three-year period, amending a similar $125 million

    facility which would have expired in January 2003.

    Invoiced sales 2001 reached EUR 306 million (300 MEUR in 2000). The operating profit was 19 MEUR (26 MEUR). ABS continued to expand in the Water and Wastewater segment, as well as in the process industry and in the aftermarket area.
