Visitors and exhibitors alike benefit from the synergies of the three trade fairs, particularly when it comes to the topics of mechanical recycling, sorting and digitization.
“Against the background of increasing scarcity of raw materials, greater environmental pollution and rising energy costs, the pressure on industries remains high. The call for sustainable, more recycling-oriented and energy-efficient products is getting louder and companies are required to quickly create the basis for this," explains Anna Lena Sandmann, from the organizer Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH, the current situation in the sectors. In addition to sustainable product design and energy-saving processes, recycling plays an important role. Decision-makers are looking for new opportunities and the need for information is correspondingly large.
On March 29th and 30th, 2023, well-known companies will meet at Solids, Recycling-Technik and Pumps & Valves in Dortmund and show the latest innovations and process engineering solutions for a consistent and sustainable circular economy. More than two-thirds of the exhibition space is already occupied and numerous well-known companies in the industry have made firm bookings. Among others, Atlas Copco Power Technique GmbH, Siemens AG and Vautid GmbH as well as first-time exhibitors such as Karl Schmidt Spedition GmbH & Co. KG.
Process and process technology plays a major role in recycling
The simultaneous appearance of the three trade fairs benefits the visitors. Because they share a common denominator, the handling of granules, powders, bulk materials and liquids. Paulo Faria, shift supervisor at Evonik AG, confirms this: “As a company, we have particularly benefited from the synergies of the trade fair trio. At the Solids, Recycling Technique and Pumps & Valves in Dortmund, we got a comprehensive market overview, discovered new solutions and found suppliers for further cooperation.”
Numerous stages of process and process engineering are used, especially in material recycling, one of the most important keys to sustainable, recyclable products. Around 50 percent of all plastic waste collected is already being processed into secondary raw materials and fed back into the economic cycle in this form.
