Pentair announced that it has named Lynnette Heath as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Jon Lammers as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and Ben Sommerness as Executive Vice President, Chief Growth and Strategy Officer for Pentair s Electrical business, which is expected to separate from Pentair s Water business in the second quarter of 2018, forming two independent, publicly-traded companies. As previously announced, the future Electrical company will be named nVent Electric plc (“nVent”).

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. announced its fourth quarter and full year financial results for fiscal year 2023. Fourth quarter 2023 net sales were $473.0 million, compared to fourth quarter 2022 net sales of $489.4 million. Fourth quarter 2023 operating income was $50.8 million, compared to fourth quarter 2022 operating income of $56.2 million. Fourth quarter 2023 EPS was $0.82, versus EPS in the fourth quarter 2022 of $0.84.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. announced its second quarter financial results for fiscal year 2023. Second quarter 2023 net sales were $569.1 million, compared to second quarter 2022 net sales of $551.1 million. Second quarter 2023 operating income was $80.9 million, compared to second quarter 2022 operating income of $81.0 million. Second quarter 2023 EPS was $1.27, versus EPS in the second quarter 2022 of $1.26.

Berea College is the first higher education institution in the nation to complete construction of a hydroelectric generating plant, located at Lock and Dam 12 on the Kentucky River near Ravenna, Ky. The small-scale demonstration project produces on average about half of the electricity the College uses on an annual basis, further reducing the school’s carbon footprint.

IBERDROLA has awarded INDAR, Ingeteam Group, the contract to modernize two generating units for the 132-MW Torrejón hydroelectric plant on the Tajo River. As part of the modernization, the plant will be converted to full power variable-speed operation.
