Adhering to environmental regulations, FAYARD recently installed a Ballast Water Treatment System from Alfa Laval. The new system was installed on deck and a larger water pressure than available on board at the time was required. Consequently, the existing two IRON ballast pumps needed either to be replaced or upgraded.
As announced on 28 May 2015, the Management Board of BWT Aktiengesellschaft (BWT Group), which is listed on the official trading of the Vienna Stock Exchange, intends to propose to the Annual General Meeting on 25 August 2015 the merger of BWT Aktiengesellschaft with an unlisted company (BWT Holding AG) by way of absorption. The Supervisory Board has approved the planned merger.
The BWT Group again surpassed the €500 million revenues threshold in 2014. The Group’s consolidated revenues decreased by €2.4 million (-0.5%), from €507.7 million to €505.3 million, due to the disposal of companies and business segments.
In the first half of 2014, consolidated revenues of the BWT – Best Water Technology – Group declined by 0.8% year on year to €255.4 million. Adjusted for changes to the Group structure, consolidated revenues were up 5.4% on the previous year’s level.
In the first quarter of 2014, the consolidated revenues of the BWT – Best Water Technology – Group declined by 0.5% year on year to €119.3 million. The slight downturn is the result of strategic measures to optimise and streamline the Group’s locations and product portfolio.
Revenues again exceed €500 million, earnings affected by expenditure on brand development.
As at the end of September, BWT increased its consolidated revenues by 1.4% from €380.0 million to €385.3 million. With a comparable Group structure (a plant engineering company in Ireland was sold in the first quarter), revenues growth would have been 2.4%. Higher growth of 16.9% to € 36.1 million was achieved in the Point of Use operations representing a share of total sales of 9.4% (against 8.1% last year).
