ITT Flygt has released a further two slim line pumps, for use in active dewatering. The new 60Hz models, which can handle up to 850 US GPM (55 l/s) and pump up to heads of 240 feet (70 meters), can operate in pipes ranging between 12”and 20” (300 & 500 mm) in diameter, with 3” and 4” hoses.

ABS is pleased to announce the launch of the new IP 900. This pump replaces the current IP 700 – 1200 series. The IP 900 is a complete stainless steel pump suitable for use in corrosive media; it is fitted with Vortex hydraulics and offers 30 mm for solids passage.

Large amounts of liquid in the pump gas can cause problems for pumps, e.g. due to condensation. Compared with many other pump types, the diaphragm pump is not very sensitive to condensation.
