Hydromatic pumps used in lift station upgrade

The Milwaukee Ave/Route 21 lift station originally installed in 1987, needed to be upgraded from its present capacity of 2100 GPM, or 3 MGD, to handle an ultimate flow of 8 MGD without interrupting service.

The powerful class F insulated 2 HP 1750 RPM pump produces a nearly constant flow under a wide range of continuously varying conditions with reliable performance of heads to 245 feet and flows of 19 gpm.     Better pumps for aircraft de-icing vehicles

    New Lowara pumps are hydraulically powered multiphase centrifugal units, which run at 2.900 rpm and throw 13 m3 per hour at 12 bar giving overall better performance from a more compact scale. A particular innovation for this new design of de-icer is the use of a single, relatively small and light – yet high performance – pump. The vehicles being replaced had large, heavy, cast iron gear pumps which had many problems, most of them expensive.
