On February 16, 2007, Sulzer announced its interest in the acquisition of selected pump lines of The Weir Group PLC, Glasgow, Scotland. Negotiations will not be continued, as no agreement was reached concerning intellectual property rights.

Colfax Corporation announced it has completed its acquisition of Lubrication Systems Company (LSC) in Houston, Texas from shareholders of LSC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pentair announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Porous Media, a privately held Minnesota company with manufacturing operations in both Minnesota and Texas. The acquisition accelerates the Company’s water strategy by strengthening its filtration and separation technology portfolio and extending its reach into attractive new markets.

With a 15 percent increase in turnover to DKK 15.4 billion in 2006, or DKK 2 billion more than the previous year, the Grundfos Group not only gained considerable market shares, it also succeeded in reaching its goals of DKK 15 billion turnover one year before expected. Whereas 2 percent of the growth derives from acquired companies, the organic growth in turnover was 13% against 7% the previous year.

At the annual general meeting of Sulzer Ltd, shareholders approved all board proposals. Dr. Leonardo Vannotti stepped down as chairman of the board and Dr. Ulf Berg was elected to the board of directors.

ITT Corporation announced that the Board of Directors has elected Gretchen McClain, 44, as a Vice President of the Company. McClain was recently appointed President of the Fluid Technology Group, effective April 1, 2007. She joined ITT in 2005 as the President of Residential and Commercial Water.

ITT Corporation announced that John Williamson succeeds to Gretchen McClain as President, Residential and Commercial Water. The appointment takes effect on April 1, when McClain takes over the leadership of ITT’s Fluid Technology Group.

Tomas Wängberg has been appointed new President and CEO of ABS Group. Peter Aru has held the position as interim President and CEO for ABS Group alongside his overall responsibility for Cardo group, in which ABS is one of four divisions.

The Board of Grundfos Management is very pleased to announce that acting Group President Carsten Bjerg today has been appointed CEO and Group President of Grundfos.

Professor Perry L. McCarty wins the 2007 Stockholm Water Prize for his pathbreaking methods for improving the water quality. Being an environmental engineer, Professor McCarty has combined deep knowledge in physical, chemical, biological and microbiological processes and transferred the results into outstanding technical development widely used all over the world as the basis for design and operation of wastewater treatment systems.
