Nissho Iwai American Corp. (NIAC) was awarded a contract by the State of California, Department of Water Resources (DWR) to furnish and install four vertical centrifugal pumps for the Edmonston Pumping Plant. The pumps will be designed and built by Hitachi, Ltd. of Japan. The contract, valued at approximately $30,000,000, is expected to run for 8 years.

Allweiler AG will deliver eight fuel skids and eight purge-water facilities for a new power plant in Kuwait. Allweiler will also help enlarge an existing power plant in Indonesia with the addition of six fuel skids. The company overcame strong international competition in order to win these two orders, worth a total of 2.7 million euros. This order volume is one of the largest since Allweiler’s pump skid division was formed.

Grundfos Pumps Northern Region, which has had sales responsibility for Iraq within the Grundfos world since the late 80’s, has secured a £1.5M order for immediate shipment.

Curtiss-Wright Corp. announced today that one of its recently acquired businesses, Electro-Mechanical Corporation (CW-EMD), has been awarded a $3.7 million contract by the Westinghouse Savannah River Company to supply four waste slurry mixer pumps for use at its Aiken, South Carolina high-level radioactive waste management tank farm.

Sulzer Pumps has received orders for 3 of its’ class leading HPcp injection pumps valued at over $11 million. Two of the pumps are driven by Solar Taurus gas turbines while the third is driven by a 5.25Mw electric motor.

Flowserve’s Mendoza, Argentina pump operation recently shipped eight high-pressure pump packages for Peru’s Camisea Project. These pumps will transport condensates 575 km (360 miles) from the Camisea fields, located 430 km (270 miles) east of Lima, to a separation plant in Pampa de Clarita on Peruvian coastline.

Spanish pump hire company, ABIN, has recently placed an order for €250,000 worth of pumps from Selwood. Based in La Coruna, Northern Spain, ABIN is looking to expand its hire operation and the pumps bought are largely the new range that Selwood launched at the beginning of the year.

Wilo Salmson Pumps Ltd has won a contract to supply ABB Ltd (Building Systems) with a range of high-quality inline pumps and pressurisation units for an Inland Revenue office development in Newcastle.
