Sollentuna Energi invests in development and expansion of capacity in their district heating network. This is done in order to meet rising demand from the property owners in the municipality. Emotron’s new generation of variable speed drives are used for, among other things, controlling pumps in the network’s booster stations.

At the beginning of November 2006 the KSB Group received an order for valves amounting to roughly € 17 million. This is the largest order exclusively for valves the German pumps and valves manufacturer has ever secured. The contract covers 215 butterfly valves with diameters from 1.5 to 3.5 metres.

The KSB Group will supply a total of 43 pumps for the “Huaneng Yingkou Power Station“ expansion project in the People’s Republic of China. Located at the Gulf of Liaodong in the province of Liaoning, the Huaneng Yingkou power plant is part of a special economic development zone.

When several large pumps were needed urgently to a hydro-electric dam construction in Canada, ABS went all out to prove its ability to deliver faster than expected. Cutting the delivery time in half, ABS delivered ten ABS submersible sewage pumps J 604 including various accessories before the agreed deadline.

In November 2006, Sulzer Pumps received a large pumps order from Russia for oil pipelines to be operated by Transneft. The order includes main pipeline, vertical booster and vertical loading pumps. The pipeline is a key infrastructure project in order to transport crude oil from Eastern Siberia to the Pacific Ocean.

The KSB Group has contracted the delivery of eighteen pumps for the drinking water supply system of Palm Jumeirah, one of the man-made islands off the coast of Dubai.
