Armstrong has received the prize for Air Conditioning Product of the Year at the H&V News Awards.

Professor Gatze Lettinga from The Netherlands has been awarded this year’s Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize for his environmentally-sustainable solution for the treatment of used water using anaerobic technology.

Dave McKinstry, Vice President of Business Development and Special Projects for Colfax/IMO-Warren Pumps, has been awarded the Hydraulic Institute (HI) Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was presented to Mr. McKinstry at the 92nd HI Annual Meeting recently held in Marco Island, Florida.

The winners of the prestigious 2009 AHR EXPO Innovation Awards have been announced and will be honored at the HVAC/R industry’s leading event at Chicago’s McCormick Place on Tuesday, January 27th at 1 pm in the New Product Technology Theater A (located in the South Hall).

From water microbiology to disinfection, from innovative technologies to revolutionary water policies, the nominations for Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize 2009 showcased not only a wide spectrum of water solutions but also new disciplines in water research and applications.

The Grundfos Prize 2008 was given today to Professor, Anne Strunge Meyer, Dept. of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the Technical University of Danmark (DTU). The prize is a recognition of Ms Strunge Meyer’s research in the development of new products and processes by means of nature’s own enzymes and the use of plant material otherwise unused.

The Hydraulic Institute, North America’s largest pump association and global authority on pumps and pumping systems, named Michael S. Cropper as 2007 Member of the Year during its Annual Meeting held at Marco Island, Florida.
