The highly innovative range of HNP micro annular gear pumps have recently been awarded as a winner in the “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” contest which is hosted by a German branding initiative whose patron is the German President Horst Köhler.

A small solar circulating pump has scooped another big award for its energy saving credentials. ITT Lowara’s Ecocirc D5solar circulator came top in the Pump Industry Awards 2009 in the prestigious Environmental/Energy Saving category.

On 2 December Grundfos NoNOx received a bronze medal for its sensor product at the award ceremony in Paris. The product is the pump company’s sensor based urea dosing pump, used in SCR catalysts for purifying the exhaust from diesel vehicles.

On 29 October Grundfos awarded two Student Prizes to graduates who have made a praiseworthy project in co-operation with the company. One project presents a new and different way of approaching new business potentials, the other project is an innovative and very applicable recipe for further developing Grundfos’ technology platform.

Flowserve Corporation has been honored by Frost & Sullivan with its 2009 European Pump Services Customer Service Leadership of the Year Award.

The Military & Marine Group within Blackmer, the leading global provider of rotary vane pump and reciprocating compressor technologies for the transfer of liquids and gases, recently received the Defense Supply Center, Columbus (OH) Recognition for Excellence Bronze Award for 2008.

Lowara Vogel Polska, part of ITT Group, received an award for its commitment to greater environmental protection through recycling. This acknowledgement confirms that we have been designated a “green” company for our effort in recycling all our production materials in the appropriate way.

Grundfos emphasises the importance of good relationship with suppliers to ensure safe and stable supplies of high-quality materials. This is not least important in a time of recession and financial crisis.

Electric motors account for a large share of the electric energy used in industrial and municipal processes. The Swedish company Emotron offers solutions that can make consumption savings of up to 50 per cent.

The “2009 Green Excellence Environmental Activism Award”, conferred annually for centrifugal pumps by the global consultancy company Frost & Sullivan, was received by KSB in the British capital.
