Xylem Announces Extension of Its TotalCare Service Concept to Include Sanitaire

Following the successful rollout of its TotalCare concept for Wedeco products in 2011 and Flygt products in 2012, Xylem has unveiled a comprehensive set of TotalCare services for Sanitaire.

TotalCare leverages the extensive engineering expertise of Xylem’s global network of service professionals and brings that ‘know how’ directly to customers, according to Brett Bigham, Xylem’s aftermarket sales and marketing manager in the US. “TotalCare has been embraced by our Wedeco and Flygt customers in the US and I am confident that our Sanitaire customers will be equally receptive,” he said. “It’s very inspiring to see what a difference we can make to our customers’ bottom line by providing our expertise to help them overcome challenges and optimize their operations.”

The Xylem TotalCare service portfolio consists of 12 service groups that span the complete product lifecycle and ensure that customers’ equipment consistently runs at its best. The new services designed to support Sanitaire customers are primarily in the areas of inspection and auditing, maintenance contracts, asset refurbishment, parts and logistics, monitoring and supervision and training and technical support. While the primary focus of TotalCare is to reach out to existing customers, the company is also proud to include its well established design and consultancy and installation and commissioning services as part of the TotalCare offering for Sanitaire.

“There are thousands of Sanitaire installations in the US today that will uniquely benefit from TotalCare,” explained Bigham. “We are in the position now to offer Sanitaire customers everything from audits to cleaning services, diffuser replacement, preventative maintenance agreements (PMAs) as well as retrofit and upgrade services. Whatever the situation at a customer site, I’m convinced we have an offering that will optimize performance and reduce energy consumption and costs.”

In addition to launching TotalCare for Sanitaire, Xylem is also happy to introduce its new TotalCare Preventative Maintenance Agreement (PMA) concept for Flygt, Wedeco and Sanitaire products and systems. “A TotalCare PMA is definitely the best option to maximize equipment uptime, ensure maximum performance and extend equipment lifetime,” Bigham explained. “More and more customers are realizing that it is much less expensive to maintain their equipment properly than it is to operate utilizing a ‘run to failure’ mentality and having to replace it much earlier than anticipated. No one can execute preventative maintenance work on Flygt, Wedeco and Sanitaire equipment as well as Xylem, and no one offers the differentiating characteristics as well as Xylem either.”
