Wilo USA Opens Distribution and Service Center In Georgia
Wilo USA has opened a new distribution and service center in Thomasville, Ga.
“Our new distribution center will ensure we provide our valued customers with long-term, sustainable logistics and a service level second to none in the industry,” says Mark D’Agostino, President and CEO of Wilo USA.
The 61,625-square-foot distribution center will be the hub for Wilo USA’s box product distribution in the U.S., as well as offering distribution support to Wilo Canada and Wilo Mexico operations. The new distribution center is located only about three miles from the existing Wilo North America production plant.
This new facility will also be used to implement new projects to improve the Wilo Service department and will have a service center utilizing 3,000 square feet of the space.
The new Thomasville facility improves Wilo logistics, which enhances service for its customers. “We are part of a big company, but we can provide a very customized solution for our customers,” says D’Agostino.
One of the current services that Wilo will build upon to provide greater customization is Guaranteed Product Shipment. This is a fixed portfolio of pumps that Wilo can engineer, build, test, package and deliver in 10 business days or less—down from the 8- to 12-week lead time that is typical in the industry. Wilo’s nimble manufacturing cycle, D’Agostino explains, will allow the company to offer other products on the same “fast track.”
