Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Analysis of Pumping Systems

The Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of any piece of equipment is the total "Lifetime" cost to purchase, install, operate, maintain and dispose of that equipment.

The LCC process is a way to predict the most cost-effective solution; it does not guarantee a particular result, but allows the plant designer or manager to make a reasonable comparison between alternative solutions within the limits of the available data.

Calculate Life Cycle Cost for Your Own Pump Installation

The calculation assumes that the Investment, Installation and Commissioning costs are taken during the first base year (0). The pump system starts running and Energy and Other* yearly costs are included. For the last year, decommissioning and disposal costs are included. When calculating LCC, all costs are discounted back to the base year. The calculation assumes that the difference between Interest and Inflation rate is 3 %.
