Wasser Berlin International: Schaustelle Wasser shows Trends and Technologies in Practical Plant and Pipeline Construction
Particularly in a densely populated city such as Berlin the planning and organisation of large-scale building sites presents a big challenge. In 2017 at the excursion day called Schaustelle Wasser, where Berliner Wasserbetriebe are partners, trade visitors at Messe Wasser Berlin International will have an opportunity to find out about the theoretical and practical aspects involved.
All-day excursions will enable them to find out first-hand about the latest technologies and obtain a detailed insight into planning measures, ranging from coordination of the various utility operators to electronic approval procedures, traffic management, invoicing and responding to accidents.
On 30 March 2017 two separate themed tours will take place. The first will focus on plant construction and show modern and complex processes and systems serving Berlin’s infrastructure such as a system for managing wastewater disposal. The excursion will also look at new technology for safeguarding water supplies, providing wastewater treatment.
The focus of the second tour will be on pipeline construction. At Wasser Berlin International the 3rd NO DIG BERLIN will devote an entire section to this topic. This excursion will cover every area of pipeline construction and highlight innovative and environmentally safe pipeline construction methods. Topics include the following: modernisation of DN 1000 AZ wastewater pressure pipelines; refurbishment of DN 1000 St wastewater pressure pipelines; restoration of combined wastewater and rainwater sewers using a variety of methods (pipe lining, repairs, pipe eating); modernisation of water pipelines using pressing and drawing techniques; refurbishment of water pipelines using pipe jacking, and construction of barriers for regulating sewage accumulations.
Both excursions are all-day events and will take place on 30 March 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The excursion fee is 80 euros per person, which includes a midday snack and free entrance to the trade fair on Friday, 31 March 2017. The fee for students is 50 euros. Prices for parties are available on request. Wasser Berlin International will take place on the exhibition grounds at Berlin ExpoCenter City from 28 to 31 March 2017.
