VSX Qualifies for Gold Competency in Microsoft Partner Network

VSX recently qualifies as Gold Independent Software Vendor (ISV) within the Microsoft Partner Network.

Since mid-2006 VSX – Vogel Software(VSX) is certified as Microsoft partner in Gold status. That guarantees the compatibility of all in-house developed software products with the latest Microsoft operating systems and browsers even before their official market release. Already in 2009, Microsoft started to basically change the partner program and adjust it to current market conditions. Now, all activities are organized in the new Microsoft Partner Network (MPN). This adjustment also affects the partner competencies which are presented to prospective customers more transparent.

As one of the first companies VSX has qualified as Gold Independent Software Vendor (ISV) within the Microsoft Partner Network and demonstrates therewith the capability to meet customer requirements. “Partners with Gold competencies represent companies that are characterized by an outstanding, constant capability and a high-level commitment in a special area. Gold competency partners provide the best solutions available in the industry whose benefit for end customers has to be proved in a strict release process“, Microsoft explains. The ISV competency is specially tailored for software manufacturers who develop innovative solutions. Microsoft Partners having reached this competency are already successful in the development and sales of software packages based on Microsoft technologies. The qualification allows VSX to use comprehensive services including training and support by Microsoft what is an essential competitive advantage.

Due to the partnership with Microsoft VSX was able to pass the Windows 7 compatibility test for its Windows-based products Spaix Classic V2 and Spaix Quick&Easy before the operating system was officially released in 2009. Thus, VSX customers could use this technology for their Spaix software solutions from the very beginning.

Within the scope of next year’s Spaix User Conference in Dresden, Germany the latest Spaix product line, Spaix 4 Pumps, will be presented to the public for the first time. Already today, these products are optimally integrated with the Microsoft systems. Web-based Spaix applications are e.g. based on scalable Windows Server technologies. The Microsoft SQL server is preferable used in the programs and offers a reliable, productive and intelligent data platform which has been especially developed for demanding, business critical applications.

„For already four years, the Microsoft Partner Program provides us an optimal platform to implement our products even more efficient. For this reason we are able to fully meet our own requirements to integrate all products in our customers’ IT environment in a fast and smoothly way” summarizes Jens-Uwe Vogel, Managing Director of VSX.
