“Our VX and IQ rotary lobe pumps are suitable for a wide range of applications. Thanks to its innovative design, the IQ series is extremely service-friendly and easy to handle. We now also offer the IQ pump in stainless steel for chemically aggressive media,” says Managing Director Harald Vogelsang.

New stainless steel IQ series

There is a new model of the IQ pump available which is made of stainless steel, making it ideal for use with chemically aggressive media. All the parts that come into contact with the pumped medium, such as the pump cover, pump housing and connections, are cast out of stainless steel (1.4581) and are therefore highly resistant to acids.

The entire IQ series is incredibly easy to handle and cheap to operate. Variable connections make for flexible installation. You don t have to unscrew the pump from the pipe in order to perform maintenance work. The pump chamber consists of one central part, meaning that the inside of the pump can be accessed in next to no time. By simply removing the cover, the inside can be cleaned and foreign matter removed quickly. There aren’t many spare parts so you will spend less time and money on replacing wear parts. The gearbox housing’s new design with integrated liquid buffer ensures excellent dry running protection and a high suction capacity. The IQ pump operates at a delivery rate of up to 77 m³/h at a pressure of up to max. 8 bar.

The VX series, the all-round pump

Depending on your required delivery rate and pressure range, with the VX series of the rotary lobe pump, you can choose from five ranges boasting a total of 26 models with different drives and materials. They are all suitable for the most diverse media, pesticides, emulsions, glues, natural latex, varnishes and paints, etc., and for capacities ranging from 3 to 1,400 m³/h.

Like other Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps, the models in the VX series are extremely compact and robust. They are easy to maintain, self-priming and resistant to dry running. The material used for the pumps, such as elastomeric coating, stainless steel or polyurethane, can be chosen to suit the medium at hand. The VX series in a nickel-based alloy is suitable for particularly aggressive media. The flow direction of the pumps can be reversed so that containers and tanks, etc., can be filled and emptied. Pulsation-free HiFlo® rotary lobes ensure that media and substances that are sensitive to shear forces are pumped gently. The integrated InjectionSystem increases the efficiency of the pump, which in turn improves its suction capacity. Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps can be maintained on-site, which saves money and time. You don’t have to worry about the hassle of disassembling parts.

, Hugo Vogelsang Maschinenbau GmbH will be exhibiting at this year’s ACHEMA from June 15 to 19 in Frankfurt am Main.

Canned Motor Pump Technology Has Multiple Advantages

13.03.2024 -

Using canned motor technology for submersible pumps provides significant advantages. A short shaft, only two slide bearings – independent from the immersion depth – and various monitoring functions not only ensure high reliability but also mean cost advantages for the operator. Since it is supplied as a lock pump, easy servicing is guaranteed at the same time.

Netzsch: A Robust, Low Wear Rotary Lobe Pump Successfully Extracts High Solids Content Slurry

02.05.2023 -

A Peruvian mining company reuses process water as part of their iron ore processing. Until November 2019, however, this was made difficult by the fact that the medium, which is collected in a tank on site, has a very high solids content of 60 to 70 per cent. After an attempt to drain the water and remove the sediment in the tank with shovels had failed after four days, the owner decided to purchase a submersible pump with an agitator.
