USFilter and Wilo/EMU End Sales Relationship

12.01.2005

WILO AG of Germany and USFilter Corporation of Warrendale, Penn., have jointly announced the termination of their agreement to market Wilo's EMU line of pumps and mixers in North America through USFilter sales channels, effective December 31, 2004.

USFilter and Wilo/EMU End Sales Relationship

"Wilo sells primarily through its own subsidiaries worldwide. The decision to end the long-standing relationship with USFilter was driven by our ongoing business strategy to have a uniform sales distribution for the Wilo and EMU products globally," said Terry Rouse, CEO of Wilo-EMU LLC.

Wilo AG, one of the largest pump manufacturers in the world, purchased EMU in January 2003. The USFilter/EMU relationship stretches back more than 25 years, and the agreement gave USFilter the right to exclusively market EMU products in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

"We respect the decision of Wilo-EMU and have enjoyed working with them closely through the years. EMU has great quality submersible pumps and mixers and we will continue to use their products in our systems when applicable," said Robert Tatum, General Manager, USFilter.

Sales, marketing, service and warranty support for new and existing customers of EMU pumps and mixers in North America will now be supported by Wilo-EMU USA of Thomasville, Georgia. Contact Terry Rouse at Wilo-EMU USA at (++1) 229 558-9002 or email terry.rouse@wilo-emu.com

Customers with questions regarding transition plans for open contracts, should contact Michael Greek, the USFilter customer service representative at (++1) 229 227-8705 or email GreekMA@usfilter.com
