Thompson Pump Expands Field Sales Department

Thompson Pump & Manufacturing, Co., Inc. recently announced the expansion of its field sales department to better meet the needs of customers throughout the United States.

The addition of experienced personnel to its regional sales and service locations, and the expansion to other parts of the country, is part of the company's strategic plan to bring Thompson's traditions of experience and innovation to more contractors and municipalities from coast to coast.

Ashton Milam recently joined Thompson as salesman for the North Florida/South Georgia markets. He brings considerable experience operating his own construction company and holds Florida contractor certification.

Gary Stark began handling the Sarasota/Tampa market in June, 2001. Prior to joining Thompson, Stark spent 8 years in the industry following work in Texas in the oil refinery business. He holds several industry achievement awards for technical sales and pump hydraulics.

Following his spring graduation from the University of Florida, Jake Brunner came to Thompson as a management trainee. Upon completion of his rigorous intern program, Brunner becomes Miami's Job Site PumpologistSM focusing on municipal works departments and other customers.

Sid Morgan has been added to the Thompson Gulf Region sales force as a Job Site PumpologistSM for Louisiana. Morgan previously worked for two years in the fluid materials industry, calling on contractor, industrial and public works clients.

Industry veteran Pete Cooper is the new Branch Manager at Thompson's facility in Chesapeake, VA. Cooper previously worked in leading national rental organizations. He will direct the office yard and operations of the Chesapeake location.
