On Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT), Thomas executives will address the Company's first quarter financial results. The Genlyte Group Inc. will be co-hosting this conference with Thomas Industries. Thomas Industries and The Genlyte Group share ownership in Genlyte Thomas Group LLC (GTG), a leading manufacturer of lighting fixtures and controls. Genlyte will be reporting their results first, followed by Thomas Industries.

In addition, Thomas Industries will be Webcasting its Annual Meeting of Shareholders at 10:00 a.m. (EDT) on Thursday, April 22, 2004.
