08.05.2017

The promotional roadshow of MCE - Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2018 - the world’s leading exhibition dedicated to residential and industrial installations, air-conditioning and renewable energies, - to be held from 13 to 16 March 2018 – will be touring those countries that are likely to have a positive impact on business for growth the entire supply chain represented at MCE.

A five-date roadshow focusing on the exhibition in all its facets: from sector scenarios right through to national and international market trends, events and registration, and a number of previously scheduled promotional activities. A unique opportunity to meet face to face with companies, trade professionals, associations and technical press to motivate them to find out more about MCE as a platform for business – generating new contacts and networking.

A well-established international dimension has been constantly one of the strengths of MCE, supported by the outstanding results achieved at MCE 2016: 2,018 exhibitors, of whom 45% from overseas representing 55 countries. Over 155,332 professionals attended the last edition, of whom around 39,140 travelled from 141 different countries with a growth in the trend among trade operators from Eastern European countries, namely Bulgaria, Poland Czech Republic and Romania (accounting for 25% of the total number of international trade visitors).

Similar figures are expected for MCE 2018. So far, over 70% of the exhibition spaces have been pre-booked with a strong international presence.

“The MCE 2018 tour in the Eastern European countries, has been conceived with the aim of strengthening trade relations with some states - explained Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions Italia. As a matter of fact, MCE is not only an unparalleled showcase but also a two-year path occurring in the interval between the two editions, that offers a remarkable opportunity to come face to face with the key players in the sector to understand the evolution of the market and promote the event in those countries that may open the doors to future business opportunities”.

The energy efficiency is a key component of the Energy Union strategy: emissions from buildings account for 36% of CO2 emissions in Europe, whereas the building sector accounts for 40% of Europe’s energy consumption. Reducing emissions is clearly a major challenge that requires groundbreaking technology and highly skilled professionals in order to reach EU’s 2030 targets. Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria are four countries rich in history and architectural heritage. Although different in culture, they have focused greater attention on innovation, energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources, industrial sectors where technological excellence in HVAC, sanitary technology, and renewable energies can make a meaningful contribution.

In more detail, the international Roadshow of MCE 2018 begins in Prague, on May 23. Czech exports to Italy were € 5.5 billion in 2016 (an increase of 6.5% as compared to the same period of 2015), whereas imports from Italy totalled € 6.3 billion +16.4% (source: Office for National Statistics in the Czech Republic).

The second leg of the roadshow will take place in Poland (despite the country’s economic slowdown, official figures show GDP rose by 3.6% in 2015, and forecasts predicted growth of 3.5% in 2016. [Source: GUS (Central Statistical Office of Poland)]: on 31 May 2017 in Cracow, that has traditionally been one of Poland’s most important economic hubs, and on 1 June 2017, in the Polish capital, Warsaw.

The International Roadshow of MCE 2018 will make its final stop in June touring two other countries, which are of great interest to MCE manufacturing industries: Romania and Bulgaria, where the Italian companies’ presence is particularly noticeable and trade relations have increased significantly.
