TDT Appoints Michael Dergance Vice President – Sales and Marketing

Michael J. Dergance has been named vice president of sales and marketing of TURBOdesign Technology, Inc. (TDT), an aerodynamic and hydrodynamic turbomachinery design software and engineering services company and exclusive U.S. distributor of Advanced Design Technology’s (ADT) TURBOdesign Suite.

As vice president of sales and marketing, Dergance will apply his more than 30 years of leadership experience and global high-technology software business perspective to make fundamental changes at TDT and facilitate rapid growth. Dergance is responsible for all aspects of U.S. business development and oversees TDT’s marketing communications, lead generation and customer service activities.

“TDT has experienced promising results and rising interest in the TURBOdesign Suite following our 2011 launch in the U.S. market,” says Mehrdad Zangeneh, Ph.D., founder and managing director of ADT and TDT. “Michael s expertise and demonstrated leadership will enable us build on existing U.S. sales and expand our customer base, to bring 3D Inverse Design methodology and software to everyone involved in turbomachinery product development. We are privileged to welcome him to the TURBOdesign Technology management team."

Prior to joining TDT, Dergance was director of software sales for Concepts NREC, where he applied his experience to build the sales team and made fundamental changes to the organization, which resulted in tremendous growth. Dergance also was general manager for GE Inspection Technologies, Global Advanced Application Centers, servicing the aerospace, power generation, oil & gas and automotive industries. Just prior to that Dergance was vice president, North American sales for ANSYS, Inc., a leading international supplier of engineering analysis FEA software.

Dergance has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and will build TDT’s presence from his Austin location.
