Syrinix Expands TrunkMinder’s Operational Range with 3G Telemetry

05.09.2012

Pipeline monitoring and leakage-prevention company Syrinix is delighted to announce the launch of the 3G telemetry option for its TrunkMinder customers.

The new 3G option is available in a new device TrunkMinder Critical 3G. The new device forms part of the development and continual extension of the TrunkMinder system, Syrinix’s pipeline monitoring system.

The 3G solution expands the operational scope of TrunkMinder to areas without ADSL connectivity. Syrinix can deliver the entire telemetry set for TrunkMinder using 3G, reflecting the company’s commitment to meeting the deployment requirements of clients. Alongside ADSL, TrunkMinder Critical 3G delivers real-time performance data provision as well as highly sensitive leak detection and location.

Syrinix’s TrunkMinder product provides industry-leading, highly sensitive, and accurate pipeline monitoring and leak detection solutions, by recording and transmitting data from sensors placed strategically on devices attached to pipelines to a central analytical database. An ongoing trial in the Greater London area has demonstrated the validity of the 3G solution and TrunkMinder clients Thames Water and Crossrail have already ordered further systems.

Alongside Syrinix’s ADSL offering, TrunkMinder Critical 3G provides utilities with the opportunity to transform trunk main management, saving money and avoiding bursts, with a sub-3 year payback period when deployed in critical locations.

Syrinix is committed to working with utilities as they look to transform their trunk main management programmes by reducing operational expenditure and capital expenditure through enhanced monitoring and detection, both ahead of and within AMP 6.
