Sundyne Announces Leadership Change at its German MASO/Sine Division
Sundyne Corp., a Hamilton Sundstrand business, announced its MASO/Sine manufacturing facility in Ilsfeld, Germany, will now be managed by Colin Guppy of the Sundyne senior leadership team. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
Martin Sommer, who has managed the MASO/Sine business since it was acquired in 1995 by Sundyne, will assist Guppy with the transition until the end of 2008. Guppy will continue his responsibilities as general manager of the Sundyne HMD/Kontro division in Eastbourne, England, where sealless magnetic drive pumps are manufactured. He is also now responsible for worldwide sales of the MASO/Sine and HMD/Kontro lines of Sundyne pumps.
Sundyne MASO/Sine products are sanitary positive displacement pumps for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. The exclusive sinusoidal rotor pump technology is used by manufacturers to process and package liquids and semi-solids such as whole strawberries for worldwide distribution. The pumps are distributed through Sundyne dealer networks throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia.
“I look forward to continuing the positive legacy of MASO/Sine pumps and expanding Sundyne sales across the globe,” Guppy said.
“The Sundyne leadership team would like to thank Mr. Sommer for his contribution to the company over the years,” said Phil Ruffner, Sundyne President. “We appreciate the passion and wisdom Mr. Sommer brought to the business his father founded more than 30 years ago.”
In addition to sanitary positive displacement pumps, Sundyne manufactures and distributes through its global sales channel a family of products including heavy duty ISO 13709/API 610 integrally geared pumps; direct drive and multi-stage pumps; sealless magnetic drive pumps including API 685 and ANSI and ISO standards; water and fire pumps and high-speed multi-stage compressors for hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation, sanitary food processing, water and general industries.
