SOVEMA acquires Varisco Pompe

04.02.2002

In January 2002, on its seventieth anniversary, Varisco Pompe was acquired by SOVEMA S.p.A., an Italian company belonging to an important European group. As a result, Varisco becomes the core of the new pump division which will include other specialist pump manufacturers, creating synergies to aim for an even stronger position on the market.

Varisco Pompe S.r.l. traces its origins back to 1932, and today is a world leader in the field of pumps for special applications in industry, construction and emergency duty.

Over the years, Varisco has built up its business in two complementary areas: the production of pumps with a high technological content, and before and after sales service to assist clients in the selection, installation and operation of pumps. This close partnership with customers has led the company to make considerable investments in human resources, production facilities and research and development. The company slogan for the new millennium: “Varisco: a solid name in fluids” reflects now more than ever the reputation that Varisco has gained on the market.

With the acquisition by the SOVEMA Group the history of Varisco continues in the spirit of “evolution in continuity”, reaching for goals that Ettore Varisco could never have dreamed of seventy years ago.
