In recent years there has been a boom in the building industry in many cities, where residential and commercial areas are rapidly expanding.

Lowara, with the excellent co-operation of the local distributor Hypower Pumps, a division of Mather + Platt, organised three meetings, inviting designers, installers and university professors to discuss the applications of frequency converters and illustrate the possibilities offered by the Hydrovar system.

During these meetings the participants shared their interesting experiences and opinions, especially on the subject of pumping units and fire-fighting systems, concerning which Lowara described the evolution of the European standards.

A successful co-operation that consolidate the relationships with Hypower Pumps and its distributors, Provincial Pumps (Johannesburg) and Natal Pump Services (Durban).
