Smallest Sump Sucker Outperforms the Competition

06.10.2005

The new Li’L Sucker™ sump cleaning system from Master Chemical is designed for a market that other manufacturers attempt to reach with machines such as wet/dry vacuums, drum top vacuums and air powered units.

However, this latest addition to the Yellow Bellied Sump Sucker range outperforms them all and is also easily affordable. The reduced downtime it brings promises payback in as little as three or four months.

Unlike many of these machines, Li’L Sucker can vacuum out chips, sludge and coolant. Even fewer of the alternatives offer its ability to filter the chips and sludge from the fluid during the process. And none has its durability; Li’L Sucker carries a 10-year warranty against tank leaks.

Li’L Sucker is a product of extensive customer consultation and field trial experience. Its design and 190 litre tank capacity is ideal for today’s smaller machine tool sumps. A 240V single phase 50Hz motor provides a suction rate of 300 litres per minute and an average discharge rate of 150 litres per minute. Options include a 110V, single phase 50Hz model and also an air venturi version.

The chip basket holds approximately 45 litres when full. A fitted polypropylene liner provides 50-micron nominal filtration while vacuuming fluids from the sump. Li’L Sucker is supplied complete with hoses and a straight cleaning tool; other cleaning tools are optionally available. When the cleaning process is complete, Li’L Sucker returns filtered coolant to the machine sump, or either transfers the coolant for disposal or to a Master Chemical XYBEX® Recycling System.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
