Mines in Fiji have been exploring gold since the early 1900’s and have a large requirement for submersible slurry pumps. With over 60 pumps used, maintenance can be costly if the correct pumps are not selected. This is the same for mine sites across the globe.

The Dragflow pumps are preferred in these mines not only for their ability to handle abrasive slurry, but also their suitability to the application. The strains of pumping slurry in these mines have proven detrimental to other pumps, resulting in major maintenance costs for the operators.

Sykes are able to supply custom built Dragflow Pumps to suit all of the demanding duties on a mine site. After 2 years of little wear and no major maintenance the Fijian mines have decided to take on more Dragflow units to replace the other less suitable pumps.

Dragflow offers complete system solutions including; submersible agitator slurry pumps. Both electric 5 to 300 HP and hydraulic 24 to 400 HP. Fully self contained, self propelled dredges are also suited for use with all agitator slurry pumps.
