Save Big on Cutting-Edge Audio and Web Conferencing – The More HI Members Participate, the Bigger the Savings
PARSIPPANY, NJ, January 31, 2002 - The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has teamed with Ternion Conferencing, a full-service audio and web conferencing company based in Chicago, to provide secure, reliable, cost-effective conferencing technology to all its members and associate members.
Through the HI-Ternion "Cost-Savings Partner Program," which kicks-off in February with a series of audio and web-based orientations, HI members can receive significant discounts on instant audio conferencing and web conferencing. Ongoing price reductions will be determined based on the aggregate of HI member participation. In addition, a portion of revenue raised through this partnership program will be contributed to the Institute. A disaster recovery program is also available to participants at no additional charge.
"HI's partnership with Ternion is our latest initiative to bring members value-added savings on services that promote their company. The expanded reach of teleconferencing and web conferencing offers a highly secure, efficient, simple way of conducting business when you cannot be there 'in-person' - which can mean significant savings on travel expenses," explained Robert Asdal, executive director of HI. "We encourage members to explore the various options Ternion Conferencing offers. The greater the number of HI participants, the greater the savings recognized by all."
Far-Reaching Conferencing Technology
With instant Audio Conferencing, HI members can conduct a teleconference call anytime 24 hours, seven days a week for up to 50 participants. It is as simple as dialing a toll-free 800 number, or dial-in number, and entering a pre-assigned pin code. The conference leader is assigned a special pin code, enabling him/her to perform special functions including a roll call of participants, a subconference with the most recent participant, a digital recording of the conference call for later playback, secure locking of call and muting of participants. The conference leader also has the ability to enter client matter/reference numbers for each and every conference call, a feature used for bill back or budget coding purposes.
Web conferencing is an online meeting center, providing virtual meetings and presentations that match the productivity of face-to-face meetings. By incorporating audio, data and video into a full-featured on-line meeting room, HI members have an effective, low cost way to communicate with any size group, large or small. This technology enables users to collaborate on documents and share applications, show slide presentations, take participants on a web tour, transfer files to participants, chat with and poll participants, as well as record and play back events of the meeting.
