Where pumping applications involve aggressive, hard-to-handle fluids, the features and benefits of magnetically driven, sealless pumps make them an ideal choice for challenging applications.

Safer Pumping with Sealless, Mag-Drive Pumps

Pump Engineering

3M pumps, available in the UK through PUMP ENGINEERING, has extended its established range of magnetically driven, centrifugal pumps with the introduction of its C MAG-PL pump. This horizontal, sealless ETFE lined centrifugal pump has a permanent magnet drive system and no mechanical seals.

These pumps are designed for long-life, reliable performance and are capable of handling fluids with a maximum viscosity of 200cSt at flows up to 90 mc/h and maximum system pressures up to 16 bar. They feature an isolation shell which effectively separates and seals the fluid chamber from the atmosphere, hence their suitability to aggressive or high purity fluids occurring in chemical and pharmaceutical applications.

The range includes a wide choice of options to suit different applications with features such as close-coupled drives and universal flange connections which meet DIN PN16 and ANSI 150 requirements. The range of electric motor options includes 1.5 to 9.2 kW.

3M mag-drive pumps have numerous applications, for example, transferring acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, heat transfer oils, liquid gases, toxic and explosive chemicals in industrial and chemical industries. They are also suitable for pumping low viscosity surfactants, acids and CIP chemicals in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

In the food and drink industries they are ideal for handling CIP chemicals, such as sodium hydroxide, nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide and pumping water treatment chemicals.
