Weir Pumps Moscow office continues their successful business development securing orders of more than $9m in the Russian oil sector during the past three months. The largest order was ...

from Sevmorneftegaz (SMNG) for 12 large oil-offloading pumps and four vertical drains pumps for the Prirazlomnoye Platform, which will be located in the Barents Sea.

Following a major order last year Lukoil Perm has shown confidence in Weir Pumps Cathcart by awarding Phase II of the Visotskiy Oil Terminal pump requirements. The scope includes 15 large oil transfer pumps and ten process pumps.

Ian Morrison, regional sales manager for the UK and Northern Europe said: "Due to the continued success in Russia, we have moved to larger offices, with project support provided by Olga Dmitrenko and we will shortly have our own local tendering of all Clear Liquid Division products."

"Working closely with our colleagues in the Minerals and Services Divisions, we are building a strong platform in Russia and having Russian GOST and GGTN certification of our product ranges and manufacturing facilities is a key factor for continued success. The work done to date has been very much a result of excellent teamwork between Geoff Inshaw and Roman Korolyov who together opened the Weir Pumps office in 2002."
