Russian Certification for Weir Clear Liquid
GOST-R, the Russian State Certification Authority has awarded Certificates of Conformity to Weir Clear Liquid Division production facilities in Glasgow, Scotland, Fresno & Salt Lake City, USA and Venlo, Netherlands.
This award allows all Weir Clear Liquid products to carry the Gosstandart conformity mark and continues to demonstrate Weir Clear Liquid's commitment to develop the growing opportunities within the Russian market.
The award allows all Weir Clear Liquid products to carry the Gosstandart conformity mark and be imported into Russia for the next 3 years.
The GOST- R project team was led from Weir Pumps base in Cathcart, Glasgow and they worked closely with their colleagues in Fresno, Venlo and Salt Lake City to ensure that the documentation was submitted on time and in accordance with the strict GOST-R standards. Following the detailed submission work the team worked closely with the Gosstandart delegation which visited Cathcart facilities in June 2003 to undertake a detailed audit of our Production facilities, Quality & Documentary procedures. This was a great demonstration of Weir Clear Liquid companies working closely together to open up new market oppertunities.
By end of August, a further award is expected from Gosgortechnadzor allowing Weir Clear Liquid products to operate in hazardous areas within oil production facilities and petro-chemical plants throughout the Russian Federation.
