Roper Industries Appoints Michael Towe Chief Financial Officer

Roper Industries, Inc. announced the appointment of Michael Towe as Chief Financial Officer, effective November 8, 2004. Mr. Towe is a 27-year veteran of General Electric Company, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer within GE Equipment Services.

“Mike Towe is an exceptional financial executive who is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of our growing enterprise,” said Brian Jellison, Chairman, President and CEO of Roper Industries. “He has demonstrated successful financial leadership in eight of GE’s diverse businesses within Motors, Lighting, Aerospace, Plastics, and GE Capital. He has held five CFO positions, including international assignments in Korea, China, and Hong Kong. Mike is a great mentor and brings deep understanding of the various control disciplines necessary to build a great company. We are delighted to have Mike join the Roper family.”

Mr. Towe began his career in GE’s Financial Management Program in 1977 and served in financial roles of increasing responsibility. His experiences included acquisitions, audit, financial planning and analysis, cost management, tax, treasury, and financial systems design and implementation. Since 1991, Mr. Towe has served in senior financial roles including CFO within GE Plastics, GE Capital and, currently, GE Equipment Services.
