Robust Pumps Transfer Liquified Propane
Primeroyal dosing pumps are ideally suited to tough metering applications in chemical, general process and oil production industries where hazardous fluids such as methanol and glycol need to be transferred.
Available from MILTON ROY UK, these robust pumps are designed around the simple concept of a variable eccentric mechanism which ensures optimum reliability and easy maintenance.
A recent example of their successful deployment is pumping liquified propane at flows up to 22m 3/hr at an LNG import terminal. The pumps were supplied in triplex format, were powered by a 75Kw motor and incorporated automatic flow adjustment provided via pneumatic controllers. The pumps were ATEX certified and met API 675 specifications.
Primeroyal pumps can be specified with other design modifications to ensure a more compact pump so it occupies a smaller footprint whilst also meeting the requirements of HPI, CPI, boiler feed water treatment and municipal water treatment markets.
The range provides flow rates up to 4410 l/h at pressures to 500 bar for the L model, with flow rates up to 8929 l/h and pressures to 500 bar for the N version. The main material / hydraulic configurations for these pumps are 316 stainless steel, PVC, PVDF hydraulically actuated diaphragm liquid ends with a PTFE or stainless steel diaphragm.
Other features include:
- double diaphragm
- diaphragm failure detection
- cooling / heating jacket
- food grade design
- multiplexing and automation capability, which together ensure these new models meet the demands of a variety of applications.
