Registration Now Open for the 2014 HI Technical Meeting

28.02.2014

Registration for the 2014 Hydraulic Institute (HI) Technical Meeting is now open. This year’s meeting will take place June 25-27 at the Charlotte Marriott City Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Members of the Hydraulic Institute, Associate Members, Standards Partners, Utility/NGO’s and qualified prospective members are encouraged to register.

The Technical Meeting is a great venue for interested members to volunteer their expertise and join industry-transforming technical committees which create widely respected ANSI/HI Standards, technical guidelines and reports for pumps and pumping systems. Nearly thirty committees will meet to advance the HI’s standards and guideline writing efforts. Some meeting highlights also include:

  • Department of Energy Update
  • Pump Test Lab Approval & Pump Labeling
  • Pump Efficiency Prediction
  • Pump Knowledge Workshops:
    • Seal Selection Process & Seal Arrangement Based on API 682
    • Remote Monitoring
  • Structured Authoring Training Session

The meeting also provides plenty of opportunities to network with top pump industry professionals. On Wednesday, June 25th, HI will host attendees at Charlotte’s brand-new Knight’s Stadium, home of the Charlotte Knights, for food, drinks and a Triple-A ballgame. On Thursday, June 26th, HI will host a private reception, tour, and dinner at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Early registration discounts apply for those who register by May 9, 2014. Group discounts and “young engineer” discounts are also available to encourage the participation of engineers who are under the age of 35 and have been in the industry for less than ten years.
