Ready 24, the new portable lightweight drainage pump from ITT Flygt

27.10.2000

Ready 24 is the latest drainage pump from ITT Flygt. The 2.4 kW pump, which weighs less than 18 kg and is less than 200 mm in diameter, can cope with everything from muddy water to corrosive liquids and gravel.

ITT Flygt’s Ready range of pumps is specifically designed to be reliable, durable and portable. The pumps are made of wear resistant materials, which can handle both corrosive and abrasive materials, and special composite materials, making them both light and robust. They are also easy to install, just plug-in and set to work.

The Ready 24, the latest Ready pump to be released by ITT Flygt, can handle up to 12 litres per second and pump at heads of 23 metres. The 2.4 kW pump’s light weight, less than 18 kg, and slim design, less than 200 mm in diameter and 500 mm in height, means it can be easily transported and will fit into pipes and other cramped spaces.

The pump has Flygt’s unique double sealing system, two seals that work independently of one another, but provide double protection, plus spin-out®, which expels particles from the seal chamber. The impeller and diffuser are made from polyurethane, a highly wear resistant material. Other innovations incorporated into the pump include, an ergonomically designed lifting handle, a rubber strainer, which acts as a shock absorber, and the inner and outer casing are made from corrosive resistant stainless steal.

The new pump, like the entire Ready range, has an auto cut off switch should the temperature rise, and the cables have a water cut feature to prevent water from leaking into the junction box. When service and maintenance is required it can be carried out on location, saving a great deal of time, plus no specialised tools are required.

The Ready pump range is a complement to Flygt’s larger drainage pump series, sold worldwide under the famous name ”BIBO”.
