Pumps for Supplying Private Houses, Towns and Industry with Water
With their TWU 3 – 10 series of borehole pumps, the pump specialists Wilo in Dortmund, Germany, offer suitable pumps for drawing groundwater from wells and cisterns.

The new Wilo-TWU 3 series supplements the existing TWU 4 – 10 series with a borehole pump for use in houses and gardens, such as irrigating gardens or providing water for use in washing machines and for flushing toilets. The fully submersible, multi-stage pump with underwater motor pumps water free of long-fibred or abrasive substances out of boreholes with a diameter of at least three inches. The maximum permissible submersion depth is 60 metres. All pump components which are in contact with the water are corrosion-resistant. The pump has an integrated non-return valve and can be installed vertically or horizontally. The PnP version includes, in addition to a single-phase pump, all hydraulic and electrical accessories needed for professional installation. The electrical system components are pre-wired, ready for installation. The pump is easy to install and operate.
The pump types TWU 4 – 10 are designed for community water supplies, for irrigation, for boosting the supply pressure and for reducing the groundwater level. The pumps for boreholes with a diameter of six inches and more are also suitable for industrial applications. Depending on the size, these pumps with underwater motors and integrated non-return valves are used in boreholes with a maximum submersion depth of 200 to 350 metres and a maximum sand content of 50 g/m3.
The borehole pumps of the TWU 4 series are now available with an optimised lantern which improves the rigidity and the access to the shaft. The new stainless steel lantern is now particularly robust.
The TWU 4 also has a special accessory – the Quick Connect Cable. This cable permits simple and quick extension of the power cable for the motor to a length of up to 100 metres by means of a combined plug/screw connection, without the need to strip down the pump motor.
