Plastic Pump Diaphragms Set the Standard In Liquid-Transfer Applications
Almatec has announced that more and more liquid handlers searching for peace of mind when handling and transferring their precious products are turning to E-Series line of Plastic Air-Operated Diaphragm Pumps.
Almatec
At the heart of the E-Series’ industry-leading performance are the diaphragms. The surface of the Almatec diaphragms is smooth and not interrupted by any seals whatsoever. Due to the diaphragm’s integrated metal core, it does not require the presence of a diaphragm disc, which can be prone to leaks. Almatec’s diaphragms have always been designed from the “PTFE” point of view, resulting in diaphragms that feature a large diaphragm and short stroke with a low flexural load.
E-Series diaphragms can be constructed of EPDM, a PTFE-EPDM compound and NBR. Almatec also offers special diaphragms for use with media that has increased diffusion tendency, such as benzene or solvents, as well as for applications that feature priming out of a vacuum. These special diaphragms are also available in conductive variations for use in explosion-proof zones.
In general, E-Series pumps have housings that are available in PE, PE conductive, PTFE and PTFE conductive while the ball valves are available in EPDM, PTFE or stainless steel with cylinder valves constructed of PTFE. The E-Series feature seven sizes with delivery volumes from 10 lpm to 800 lpm (2.6 gpm to 210 gpm).
