Plastic Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps Make The Grade In Plating/Metal-Finishing Applications
Wilden announced that its Original Series Plastic Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps feature the performance proficiencies necessary for use in the plating and metal-finishing industries. Applications in which the Original Plastic pumps have been shown to excel include the replenishment of plating chemical for daily use and the making of new bathes of plating material, among several others.

Original Plastic pumps are able to handle these crucial applications because they are constructed of chemically compatible materials, such as polypropylene, PVDF and PFA. Elastomers are available in Buna-N, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton, Wil-Flex, Saniflex, polyurethane and PTFE. Available in sizes from 6mm (1/4”) to 51mm (2”), Wilden’s Original Plastic pumps have flow rates to 591 lpm (156 gpm) and maximum discharge pressures to 8.6 bar (125 psig). These pumps can pass solids as large as 6.4 mm (1/4”), are portable and submersible, are available with multiple liquid connections and feature anti-freezing technology.
In addition, the pumps offer Wilden’s patent-pending Pro-Flo X Air Distribution System (ADS) in a polypropylene construction, which makes then capable of withstanding the most aggressive chemical applications. The Pro-Flo X ADS features Wilden’s state-of-the-art Efficiency Management System (EMS), which optimizes actual operation parameters regardless of the application demands or pump size. The EMS allows the operator to use an integrated control dial to select the efficiency point and flow rate that best suits the application.
