Pfeiffer Vacuum to Streamline its Presence in Japan

Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG agreed with its long-term partner Hakuto Co., Ltd. on a 100 percent stock transfer of its Japanese subsidiary adixen Japan Ltd.

The transfer of ownership is planned to take place in the coming weeks. This transaction is part of the process to streamline the presence of Pfeiffer Vacuum in Japan and to optimize its structure.

Hakuto Co., Ltd. has been the sole representative of Pfeiffer Vacuum products in Japan for several decades. The company very successfully pursues the Pfeiffer Vacuum approach of offering its customers complete vacuum solutions rather than individual products. Through this cooperation, Pfeiffer Vacuum has achieved a strong market position, particularly in the analytical and R & D market segments. adixen Japan Ltd. offers adixen vacuum products, mainly backing pumps and leak detectors, predominantly for the Japanese semiconductor, flat panel display (FPD), LED and solar markets. adixen vacuum products are well known for their technological leadership. From now on, Hakuto is to focus not only on combining Pfeiffer Vacuum and adixen products to realize the best vacuum solutions, but also to set up its own service center for maintenance and after-sales support.
