Pentair Pump Group Names New President

Richard Cathcart, president and chief operating officer of Pentair Water Technologies, announced the appointment of Scott R. Levin to the position of president of the Pentair Pump Group.

He will be responsible for the Ashland, Ohio, operations of the Pump Group, Aurora Pump in North Aurora, Illinois; and Fairbanks Morse Pump Company in Kansas City, Kansas. Scott will be based in Ashland, Ohio.

Scott, an Ohio native, brings a broad-based background to the Pump Group. Scott began his business career in corporate treasury positions with Exxon Corporation. This was followed by 14 years with United Technologies Corporation, a global diversified manufacturer of high technology products for aerospace, building and automotive industries with annual sales in excess of $21 billion. Among positions of increasing responsibility, Scott served as vice president and general manager of the Carrier Replacement Component Division, director of Investors Relations in the corporate office, treasurer of the Otis Elevator Company, and vice president of United Technologies Finance (Pratt & Whitney). During his tenure with United Technologies, he gained valuable experience in business development, lean manufacturing, supply chain management, as well as financial planning and turnaround activities. Scott’s business assignments took him to the Far East, Latin America, and Europe, in addition to North America, where he worked with diverse customer base from military and government agencies to local entrepreneurs.

Following United Technologies, Scott served as executive vice president and chief financial officer and chief executive officer for Imperial Home Décor Group, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. Imperial is the leading North American designer, manufacturer and distributor of residential wall coverings, with both domestic and international sales to the retail community.

Most recently, Scott joins us from assignments with Alixpartners, LLC, the leading turnaround firm in the U.S. specializing in performance improvement of financials, operations and systems for a wide range of industries.

Scott has a Bachelor of Arts, degree in English Literature from the University of Cincinnati, a PHD in Comparative Literature from Indiana University, and a Masters in Business Administration - Finance from Indiana University. Scott and his wife, Mary, have two daughters, one in college and the other finishing high school. They reside in Hudson, Ohio.
