Pentair Announces Key Executive Leadership Changes

Pentair, Inc.announced that Todd R. Gleason, previously vice president of Strategy and Investor Relations, has been promoted to vice president of Strategy and Marketing for Pentair. Additionally, Sara Zawoyski, previously with PepsiAmericas, joins the company as vice president of Investor Relations.

Gleason has led Investor Relations for Pentair since June 2007. In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership in the following areas: global marketing and brand management, strategic planning, market analysis and commercialization of new growth initiatives, go-to-market strategies for innovative technologies, and communications. Gleason will report to Randall J. Hogan, chairman and chief executive officer.

"Todd has been instrumental in shaping and advancing our investor relations activities and building a solid analyst and investor base," said Hogan. "Todd has also been very close to all our strategic growth activities so this is a natural transition to more fully support our commercialization and strategic functions across our global organization."

Prior to joining Pentair in 2007, Gleason served in a number of executive finance, strategy and business development roles for American Standard, Honeywell, Deloitte & Touche Consulting and QPS Services. Gleason received a master s degree in management from Carnegie Mellon University and his bachelor s degree in international studies from Wesleyan University.

Zawoyski joins Pentair from PepsiAmericas where she was the vice president of Investor Relations for the $4 billion global manufacturer, seller and distributor of PepsiCo beverages, since 2005. She will work with Pentair s senior management team to further the company s investor

relations strategy, and will serve as Pentair s liaison with the financial analyst and investment communities. She will report to John Stauch, Pentair s executive vice president and chief financial officer.

"Sara brings a wealth of finance and investor relations experience to Pentair," said Stauch. "Investor Relations is an extremely important function for Pentair and we are excited to have someone with Sara s rich capabilities join us to help advance our communications and processes in this area."

Prior to her role in Investor Relations, she worked as PepsiAmericas director of Financial Reporting and Compliance. Previously, Zawoyski was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers. She received her bachelor of science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Ill.
