Pentair Pumps Selected for New York City Water Treatment Project

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 20 /PRNewswire/ — Pentair (NYSE: PNR) today announced that the Pentair Pump Group, a unit of the company’s Water Technologies segment, has received a multi-million dollar contract for the installation of wastewater pumping equipment slated for a major municipal treatment plant in New York City. Engineering work on the project will begin immediately, with delivery of the pumps expected over the course of the next two years.

    New small sewage lifting unit

    At this year’s ISH, KSB Aktiengesellschaft, Frankenthal, will present its latest sewage lifting unit to the public for the first time. Named Ama-Sani, it is the smallest product in the manufacturer’s product line and supplements the company’s existing scope. It allows house owners to maintain, for example, a guest bathroom below backwash level, say, in a basement, from where waste water would normally not run into the sewer unaided.
